Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award & PIC Rules
Join us for another infamous Red’s Mornings. This month, we have two guests:
- John Howard, and, we hope, Jack Hocker who is just getting back on his feet, from the San Jose FSDO will be presenting the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award to Mr. Randy Bainbridge. They will also discuss briefly local noise abatement issues.
- Eric Fleming will be discussing PIC rules. First, you know the Eric will make any subject alive, meaningful and interesting. Secondly, this is an issue that has a lot of built in “gotcha’s”. Eric will use Power Point, film clips, sound bites and cartoons to make his point about how important it is to understand this seemingly simple, regulatory concept. PIC is not merely a test question, a lame title or a Part 1 definition. Understanding and applying the PIC concept will help you think about your pilot responsibilities, divisions of labor, safety and legal issues.
Lilia Rathburn, our new Chief Pilot will host(ess) the presentations and introduce herself. I will be at Oshkosh (just one of those burdens someone has to carry).
