I would like to express my appreciation and overwhelming satisfaction with my experience at Del Monte Aviation, now Monterey Bay Aviation. During the period of my training for my private pilot license I conducted training at several flight schools around the Central California region, one in Okinawa, Japan, and recently here in Tacoma, Washington. Not one of those schools were able, or willing, to provide the quality of aircraft, or the level of dedication as I received at Del Monte. While I was flying at Del Monte I had the privilege of flying with all but two of your flight instructors. In all cases I left with a greater knowledge of flight theory and improved confidence in the cockpit. Before I moved my training to Del Monte I was under the impression that instructors at flight schools were to compete against their fellow CFI’s for students. I was impressed to see your instructors work together and hand off students, if necessary, to other instructors in the best interest of the student due to scheduling issues or more effective instruction techniques. Monterey Bay Aviation offers, by far, the best flight training I have seen anywhere, from the Pacific Northwest to California to Okinawa, Japan.

There is also a real sense of community around Monterey Bay Aviation. I was offered the opportunity to volunteer at the California International Airshow and gain a great deal of experience that I can take with me to my future in aviation. I have also left with many great friends and unforgettable memories that I will cherish for years to come. I plan on returning to Monterey Bay Aviation for practical tests, and just to fly around the beautiful central coast as often as possible. Please accept my personal thanks, and extend my gratitude to Ron Phoebus, Michael Phillips, Ron Gaasch, Nathan Matte, Donna Brady, Mike Rucker and all at Monterey Bay Aviation for their professionalism, leadership, knowledge and friendship.
