INSTRUMENT TRAINING -
Modular Flight Deck & Aircraft

Richard L. Collins noted pilot and aviation writer recently wrote that “instrument flying is serious business. It is demanding. It takes active thinking. When a pilot gets the instrument rating he or she is authorized to evaluate weather, dispatch the flight, and is then challenged to fly the airplane in the same air traffic control system and weather systems that the two-crew turbine airplanes are using.”

As a Cessna Pilot Center we use a structured interactive training syllabus designed to make you a complete instrument pilot. We combine the power of computer based instruction with training in our Modular Flight Deck and refine all that you've learned in your airplane or in our fleet of well equipped aircraft.

Monterey Bay Aviation has the tools the staff and the experience to guide you through the process of being able to successfully navigate in the clouds and in the dead of night.

 MODULAR FLIGHT DECK

The Precision Flight Control Modular Flight Deck is a Class IV Advanced Aviation Training Device which incorporates X-Plane the most advanced pc based flight simulation software on the market today. Ideal for primary, instrument and emergency training and all of the variables associated with weather, instruments and aircraft systems. As an AATD it is authorized for use in satisfying Tasks/ Maneuvers and Procedures under the following sections of Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations parts 61 and 141.

 INSTRUMENT PROFICIENCY

This course has been created to develop an approach to help maintain true instrument proficiency by following a structured, yet specifically tailored program placing emphasis on good procedure, expanding the envelope of pilot skill, and increasing pilot confidence. This course can be expanded to an IPC by doing a circle to land in an aircraft. All other requirements for an IPC can be met in the Modular Flight Deck.
